A US Army Combat Veteran and lifetime member of the IFPO, Steve brings a tactical eye and a journalist’s heart to every project. His experience in high-stakes environments allows him to find the "quiet in the chaos," ensuring that every frame captures the raw truth of the subject. With a deep technical mastery of Canon optics and a penchant for Gothic Noir aesthetics, Steve provides the gritty, grounded foundation for the Iron Halo vision.
Katrina Shahan | Partner, Co-Owner, and Videographer
As Co-Owner and Creative Partner, Katrina is the essential "other half" of the Iron Halo lens. While Steve captures the raw environment, Katrina focuses on the human element. She leads our creative direction and posing, specializing in making clients feel comfortable, confident, and natural in front of the camera. Her intuitive ability to guide movement, posture, and expression ensures that every subject looks their absolute best while remaining authentic.

Expanding our reach across the South Sound, Austin serves as our dedicated lead for Pierce County. With a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to the Iron Halo standard, Austin ensures that our "boots on the ground" approach extends from Olympia through Tacoma and beyond.
